Huntsville Abstract & Title Company is headquartered in Huntsville, Texas and is a leading provider of title insurance services for East Texas. Always a leader and innovator, Huntsville Abstract & Title Company along with RamQuest were the original developer for the now popular Complete Closing Suite of Escrow and Title software now used by hundreds of title companies throughout the United States.
Our goal is to provide a pleasant, atmosphere where sellers, buyers, realtors, and lenders can meet to have a smooth and enjoyable closing.
Our Story
Huntsville Abstract and Title Company (HATCO) has been servicing Walker County and surrounding areas since 1936.
HATCO has been proudly owned and operated by Sam and Patricia Johnson since their purchase of the company in 1982, at which time of their purchase of the company, HATCO was located in the Bennett Building on University Avenue. In 1983 the company purchased, remodeled, and relocated to the Life Theater Building on Sam Houston Avenue where they remain today. HATCO provides prompt title insurance and closing services for the purchase of new homes, farm and ranch, timber, and commercial properties in Walker, Madison and Trinity Counties, as well as refinances, construction loans and home equity loans.
